Original 1892 Framingham Academy Centennial Wax Seal produced to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the academy's 1792 founding, the seal features the "common seal" design originally donated to the school in 1799 by Captain Jonathan Maynard—a Revolutionary War hero and the town's first postmaster.
