This photo is a 1906 retake of the original Civil War era image, retaken by the Cokell Studio in Boston.
It is unframed, pasted board with original matte partially attached.
The broad street scene shows the J.W.H. Rogers & Co. Sign House and the Evening Gazette, A. Moore Bookbinders,
Jewett Tebbets & Dry Goods Company on the right.
Lower left also has a phantom image of a horse and carriage that must have moved before full exposure.
Measures Sight 10 x 13.25 inches. Overall 14 x 17 inches.
Break to matte in upper left. Two period damage spots to photo in upper corners. Light soiling and wear to matte and back board.
