An early depiction of the Sinking of Japanese Battleship Haruna by the heroic
West Point graduate, Captain Colin Kelly, Jr. in the days following the
Attack on Pearl Harbor - Kelly perished shortly after his successful bombing run
This original graphic illustrated letterhead was likely printed in 1941 or '42
but the letter content was not written into use until January 7th, 1946
The contents, interesting in their own right, contain an appeal for an artist to
reproduce Western art from the Wild West Weekly story magazine,
and is signed W. B. McCafferty of Waxahachie, Texas
Measures 8.5 x 11 inches, suitable for framing
