ORIGINAL HISTORICAL EPHEMERA
Colonel Willard Worchester Glazier (1841-1905)
American Civil War soldier and Intrepid Explorer who was thrice captured.
Capt Willard served in the New York 'Harris Cavalry' was captured
and served time in Libby Prison before escaping after transfer.
He later joined the 26th New York Cavalry until the end of the war
and then went on to explore American wilds, where he was captured by
Native Americans in the Wyoming Territory for a time.
His exploits resulted in several well selling American adventure books.
Upon his passing in 1905, his widow's lawyers here attempt to secure
funds from Col. Willard's Central Savings Bank account in Baltimore MD.
The letter includes some handwritten notations regarding the amounts,
totaling $1,000 due to his widow.
